Chapter 434 I Donât Care If He Loves Me
Danielle narrowed her eyes and glared at Cherise. The harshest punishment for attempted. murder on a spouse⊠would probably be the death penalty.
âOnce sheâs dead, Damien would, of course, marry you.â
Cheriseâs eyes widened, âYou-!â
She calmed herself down after the initial shock.
âSo you were the one behind Damienâs attack.â
The only reason Danielle would be so sure of her success in framing Cherise was if she was behind the attack all along-
âIndeed.â
Danielle looked down and rubbed her fingers. âDamien probably wasnât even aware that the people around will obey only me when I return.â
âMiss Lenoir.â
Mr. Kolson emerged from the room and humbly interjected, âIâve asked the doctor to increase the dosage for Mr. Lenoir. He wonât wake up for a few hours.â
âGood.
Danielle smirked at Cherise. âSee that?â
Cherise frowned. She finally understood.
The âattackâ on Damien was just a dose of sleeping medication.
She felt like she could finally breathe.
Damien wasnât actually hurt.
He just got⊠Stabbed in the back by his own family.
âDanielle.â
Holding onto Danielleâs wheelchair, Sage smirked, âWeâll go with your idea. To prevent any unwanted surprises, letâs call the police now and have her arrested.â
Sheâd do anything if it meant getting one step closer to being Damienâs wife!
âOkay.â

Danielle smiled and nodded at Mr. Kolson.
âYes, maâam.â
Mr. Kolson nodded and left.
He gave Cherise a cold, derisive glance as he pa*sed her.
A chill entered her heart.
Damien trusted Mr. Kolson, and yetâŠ
Cherise looked up at Mr. Hampson standing by the door.
Their eyes met, but he quickly looked away.
Cherise smiled bitterly.
How would Damien feel when he woke up and found out everyone he had trusted had betrayed
him?
âAlright.â
Danielle yawned. Spinning the wheelchair around, she gave one last order, Tm leaving this to you, Sage.â
Before she closed the door, Cherise caught a glimpse of a nurse carefully injecting something into Damienâs IV.
Her hands clenched into fists as she stared defiantly back at Sage. âAre there any side effects to the drug youâre giving him?â
âOf course not.â
Sage leaned comfortably against the door. Her eyes were cruel as she mocked Cherise, âI didnât think youâd be so concerned about my future husband.â
âBut you
should worry about yourself.â
She sneered at her, not bothering to hide her greed. The crazed glint in her eyes was plain for all to see. âMy uncle is the deputy chief of the police department.â
âUse your imagination. Think about what will happen to you when they arrest you later.â
She leaned in closer and whispered into Cheriseâs ear, âI heard that prison is filled with inmates who are having a hard time, and thereâs no hope of them getting out. Youâll find female inmates with nothing to lose where youâre going.â
âYou better hope theyâll have mercy on you.â

Cheriseâs jaw was clenched so tight, it was starting to hurt. âDamien would never accept you even if you do this to me.â
âI know.â
Sage sniggered. âDo you really think I care if he loves me?â
âI just want him.â
âAll the doctors and nurses in this hospital are in our pocket,â Sage whispered into Cheriseâs ear.
